    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We're looking for an exceptional Footwear Color & Material Design Expert to combine their experience, problem-solving abilities, and creativity to help create the future of Jordan Energy Footwear. The ideal Expert Color & Material Designer will create the right color & material direction to excite the next generation of top designers and athletes that work with us. Working on collaborative and non-collaborative projects to drive edge and innovation for Jordan Energy.

    In this role, you'll need high taste level and fluency in ways of working with high-caliber collaborators and partners to co-create and build trust in support of product excellence.     • Bachelor's degree in design, art or related field; fashion design, product design, industrial design, accessory and footwear design, or textile design. Will also any suitable combination, experience and training.

    • 8+ years of relevant design experience exemplifying ability to push material design, and/or relevant experience in Textile, Color and/or Product Design

    • Comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging design and trends in apparel

    • Ability to translate consumer knowledge/insights to narratives and product executions

    • Ability to create concepts and explore new Materials innovations and technologies

    • Familiarity with Footwear Product creation & manufacturing processes including: materials/fabrics/finishes/applications and constructions, etc.

    • Experience building inspiration/concept presentations, and mood boards for seasonal concepts and narrative direction

    • Understanding of color trends, color mixing, color compatibility, and color limitations

    • Experience working and communicating directly with manufacturing partners to ensure the accuracy of intent and execution

    • Ability to create and edit files using Adobe Suite programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

    • Ability to express ideas and explore ideation through digital platforms: Gravity Sketch, Vizcom, CLO are a plus

    • Highly organized and self-sufficient

    • Experience working and communicating directly with manufacturing partners to ensure the accuracy of intent and Materials executions

    • Strong verbal, written, visual, and high-profile communication skills in local market language, including meeting facilitation and presentations

    • High taste level

    WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

    Your day to day job will be partnering with leadership, working on future materials and methods of make on key projects, creating partnerships with Footwear product designers, Color Design, Developers, and Product Line Managers to name a few. Your responsibilities will be co-creating design direction and dimensional strategy, curating and elevating existing materials to exploring a broad range of material innovations. You will be partnering with both external collaborators, partners and internal teams to build project narratives and color and materials palettes. From concepting, and ideating all the way to finalizing tech packs, presentations and working with vendors and manufacturing partners. The daily responsibilities of this role are wide-ranging, highly demanding, and rewarding.
