Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Director, Business Development in Chandler, AZ.

    Primary Mission

    The Director, Business Development, will work as an integral part of the Space Systems Sector BD team, focused on:

    • Leading cross-functional teams to drive coordinating and capture success across the enterprise

    • Planning capture efforts from initial opportunity interest brief through award and building the requisite team

    • Achieving and maintaining Executive support through Sprint/Status Reviews, Gate Reviews, and signoffs

    • Developing insight into customer needs, wants, and concerns leveraging and partnering with the BD team and other capabilities within the enterprise

    • Developing capture strategies (including offering approach, shaping, and advocacy) based on customers, competitors, and the Business Case to improve the probability of acquiring profitable business

    • Managing the execution of high-priority projects that support business growth and long-term objectives

    • Providing counsel to the VP, BD on strategic, operational, and organizational matters, and ensuring alignment to the enterprise and sector goals

    • Overseeing day-to-day operations related to business development, ensuring processes and systems support overall efficiency

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of Aerospace & Defense experience

    • Active TopSecret security clearance at time of application

    • Proven credibility and expertise in capture strategy and execution

    • Strong projectmanagement skills; able to drive initiatives with urgency, accuracy, and efficiency

    • Technical fluency: can master complex topics and translate them for senior company and customer executives

    • Established relationships and deep knowledge of Department of War and NationalSecurity customers and their acquisition processes, including requirements development and budgeting

    • Demonstrated success as capture lead on multiple competitive pursuits

    • Outstanding verbal communication; experienced briefing senior executives

    • Experience leading governmentcustomer engagements

    • Lead role on large proposals (proposal manager or senior proposal leader)

    • Track record of developing talent and providing peopleleadership

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Multidivision or multisector capture/campaign experience

    • Bachelors in engineering or a technical field and a master's in technical or business discipline

    • Experience with the development / deployment of weapon systems, interceptor systems, killchain architectures, and related technologies

    Primary Level Salary Range: $176,100.00 - $264,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
