Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Engineering & Sciences (E&S) is seeking candidates for the position of MDA Hardware & Sciences Technical Manager 2 to support the NGMC MDA in Annapolis Junction or Linthicum, MD .
What You'll Get To Do :
This is a dual-role technical manager position. Management duties will require tasking and coordination of approximately 8-12 staff, and process and resource co - ordination with functional homeroom management. The manager will also be expected to perform technical work on programs. It is anticipated that given the size of the functional team, the split between program and functional duties will be approximately 80 program /20 functional, on average. The direct program work may include technical work, IPT leadership, or any other appropriate technical function.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
This position requires work onsite in either Linthicum, MD or Annapolis Junction, MD facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 9+ years of experience; Master of Science degree plus 7 years of experience) within a related engineering field; OR PhD plus 4+ years of experience within related engineering field.
Experience in one or more of the following:
Materials : Experience in experimental physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or a related field for thin films/ device fabrication and characterization.
Computational Physics: Experience in scientific computing, physics, materials science, applied mathematics or a related field for numerical simulations of condensed matter systems. Skills in C/ Python and knowledge of tools commonly used in scientific computation.
Experimental Physics : Experience working in a lab environment performing measurement, analysis, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of designing experiments and measurement automation.
Hardware Design : Experience in RF, analog, or digital design, either board-level or chip level circuit design, including ASIC analog or digital verification skills.
Strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication and collaboration, team engagement, and organizational skills.
U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with poly per business requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Salary Range: $145,000 - $217,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
