We are looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA. What You'll Get to Do:
We at Northrop Grumman Missions Systems are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer with a strong understanding of requirements development, test case development, and verification and validation of those requirements. The ideal candidate should be proficient with requirements technical baseline management via IBM Rational DOORS, and act as the technical lead and point of contact to the Chief Engineer and customer.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with a broad customer base to identify unique requirements, flow the requirements into design documentation, and work with a diverse team to build and test those requirements.
Present to customers on the capabilities of current products, performance analyses, design information, and requirements verification methods.
Generate, review, and manage multiple requirements sets that cover all aspects of both performance and nonperformance including mechanical interfaces, electrical interfaces, data requirements, environmental requirements, and reliability.
Awareness and responsiveness to contract milestones and deliverables.
Lead an Agile team to ensure the designs are sufficient to meet the system requirements.
Work with various Agile teams to ensure all requirements are verified through inspection, analysis, demonstration, or test often by providing test and data reduction scripts.
Provide test directions to ensure production tests and troubleshooting tests are executed correctly and resulting data conforms to requirements.
Develop simulation models for sensors and systems.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal System Engineer:
Bachelor's of Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience OR PhD degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 1+ years of engineering experience
Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and technical baseline management
Experience in System Engineering activities such as:
Software requirements development
Requirements development,
Test Case development,
Verification and Validation i.e. experience running tests and documenting results
Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience supporting test investigations and debugging efforts
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Active DoD Secret clearance required at the time of application
Ability to work onsite full-time at Woodland Hills, CA

Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and technical baseline management
Experience in System Engineering activities such as:

Verification and Validation i.e. experience running tests and documenting results

Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
