development of strategic plan across operations
Research specific sectors and develop comprehensive view of business trends, key players and profile of potential partners in each sector
Assess performance of potential partners for strategic engagement; develop range of potential alternatives for partnership
Develop preliminary model of feasibility of financial metrics surrounding potential targets
Maintain current view of potential and actionable strategic partners
Assist with development of strategic client management plan; assist with business development for key clients
Develop materials for internal review of potential strategic initiatives and targets
Ad hoc strategic and financial analyses and other projects and duties, as assigned
Contacts
This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and executives across ORIX Group. In addition, this role may interact with outside advisors and partners, bankers, and target company management teams.
Education, Skills & Experience
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university in finance, economics, or a related field; completion or progress towards an MBA or CFA preferred
At least 3 years of experience in either a private equity, investment banking, or deal advisory role (e.g. transaction services)
Strong understanding of fundamental business analysis and capital structures, including advanced knowledge of financial statement analysis.
Ability to research databases and public information to create thoughtful analysis of specific sector, company or business strategy
Exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills, supported by a high proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Effective team member with a willingness to multi-task, prioritize assignments and work independently and within a high-performance team
Attention to detail with an ability to accurately identify and summarize key information at a level appropriate for executive communication
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and frequent interruptions
Some travel (less than 10%) is expected with this position
Annual base salary gross: $145,000 - $175,000 (NY only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the ORIX USA's salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX USA's total compensation package for employees.
