Job Summary

PSEG is looking for an Intern for the Centralized Work Planning and Scheduling - Strategic.
This job involves working as an Analyst.
This position will be Hybrid.

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:
• Strategic Planning - Assist in data gather and processing for 2026 planning.
• Data Analysis and Reporting - review and create data in SPOT tool; identify variances and any data errors.
• Conducting analysis using SQL, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Creating visualizations and reports to present findings.
• Assisting in data cleaning and preparation for analysis.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field and graduating between December 2025 and May 2028. Students graduating in May/June 2025 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2025. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed freshman level course work for consideration. Because this position will require traveling to various PSEG locations, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

Preferred:

• Experience working in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Access, Visio, & PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with large data sets in Excel, Microsoft Power BI, or similar.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
