Job Summary

The associate in this position will provide technical/analytical and functional support in the area of Project Controls for the PMO group which is within Projects and Construction.
Knowledge and experience required in the following areas: Project Scope coordination, invoice and accrual Management; integrated cost and scheduling; total project cash flow & annual budget development; development of WBS structure, financial analysis; cost accounting and forecasting; variance analysis; performance reporting; project change management; risk & contingency analysis, construction site visits required.

Job Responsibilities

The associate will:

• Implement standard cost processes and practices to ensure Design and Construction projects are performed in accordance with approved budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to complete project analyses by their due date.
• Develop, coordinate and maintain financial, schedule, estimate, budget, resource, procurement, risk and other data within the systems / databases and query tools for individual projects and for project portfolio.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain status & variance reporting and executive dashboards for the financial aspects and schedules for projects.
• Support Business Plan Updates and capture variances.
• Construction Site visits required.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor's in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Finance or Business
• Demonstrate strong planning, organization, and team building skills
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Project Controls concepts (project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling, closeout)
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Cost Engineering concepts (project estimating, forecasting, cost controls and variance reporting)
• Minimum 4 years of experience with ERP systems for identifying and reporting actual costs posted to projects (i.e., SAP, etc.)
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge using Integrated Data Management Tools such as, MS Excel and MS Word, PowerPoint
• Must be a self-starter capable of seeking out project related information from Project Stakeholders.
• Capable of making presentations to project stakeholders and Management.
• Because the job may require driving to company locations and off-site assignments and events, must possess a valid driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driver history.

Desired:
• Construction, utility or engineering industry experience.
• PMP Certification obtained or in progress.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of SAP for identifying and reporting actual costs posted to projects
