Job Summary

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standards exist to ensure the reliability and security of the bulk electric system. As a member of the NERC Compliance Group, you will perform governance and oversight of PSEG's compliance with the NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Reliability Standards.

This role will focus on NERC CIP Standards.

Remote Local - at least 8x a month in-office expectation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet critical NERC reporting deadlines to ensure PSEG compliance with NERC regulatory requirements.

  • Compile, review, assess, and maintain NERC compliance documents.

  • Develop and execute project schedules for NERC-related activities of PSEG.

  • Develop and adhere to PSEG NERC compliance internal control programs to ensure ongoing compliance and adequate preparation for NERC compliance engagements (e.g., audits) with ReliabilityFirst (RF) NERC regional entity.

  • Support and oversee plans and activities of NERC audits of PSEG.

  • Coordinate and provide guidance and oversight to business units responsible for NERC compliance.

  • Review NERC compliance data and records and NERC compliance procedures.

  • Attend industry committee meetings, conferences, and workshops to support PSEG's NERC advocacy efforts.

  • Other relevant tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Compliance, Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 6 years of equivalent experience such as engineering, auditing, analytics, operations, compliance or;

  • In lieu of a degree, 10 years of equivalent experience such as engineering, auditing, analytics, operations, or compliance.

Required Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Relevant advanced degree or certification.

  • Utility Transmission and Distribution experience.

  • Power Generation experience.

  • Project management experience.

  • Deep knowledge of Federal regulations with regard to electric reliability standards, NERC and the NERC Regional Entities and related industry organizations, or similar experience with federal regulatory compliance.
