You will be tasked with writing articles based on weekly and monthly expert analysis from our in-house Economics team. In addition to this, you'll be tasked with coming up with and pitching compelling ideas for articles that will drive audience growth.
You will have contacts within the residential real estate industry, and be driven to uncover exclusives.
You will be a team player who is adept at juggling multiple stories at once, and who can produce content at volume. This role will report directly to the News Editor.
What you'll do:
You must be able to write a set number of stories per day for Realtor.com's News & Insights section
You will be pitching residential real estate stories on a daily basis and be able to uncover exclusives
You will be working on reports that are steeped in economic data, so must be able to translate key insights to a consumer audience
You will have a good understanding of the technical aspects of SEO and how to optimize content for search
You will have a keen interest in the real estate industry, and must keep up to date on trends
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree
At least three years working in online media or print journalism
Strong writing and analytical skills
Familiarity with content management systems
A solid understanding of SEO
Strong experience with social media
This is a hybrid role where you'll be required to work in our New York City office three days a week. This is a permanent position where you will work Monday through Friday.
