Intern - Transportation Safeguards and Surety - Technical Graduate Summer

lls to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

• Earned bachelor's degree

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited related graduate program

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0

• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer

• U.S. citizenship

Note: If you have not yet started your graduate program, please apply to an undergraduate intern position.

Qualifications We Desire:

• Prior relevant intern experience in engineering analysis, design, or testing

• Hands-on experience and interest in fabrication, component assembly, 3D printing and prototyping hardware

• Hobbies/interest related to automotive repair, mechanical designs, welding/fabrication, and mechanical testing

• Experience modeling (physically, functionally, and logically) component and system designs

• Knowledge and experience in electric and autonomous vehicle technology

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance

• GPA of 3.2 or higher

• Members of vairous engineering societies.

The Transportation Safeguards and Surety Program has responsibility for developing technical solutions that ensure the safety and security of the nation's nuclear assets during over the road shipment. With capabilities spanning the R-D-A spectrum, the team enables America's nuclear deterrence through sustainment of the existing fleet of Safeguards Transporters (SGT) while developing the next generation Mobile Guardian Transporters (MGT). Security Clearance:
