We are seeking an experienced Licensing Professional to support licensing of Intellectual Property. You will be responsible for ensuring commercialization of Sandia's intellectual property portfolio through licensing of Sandia technologies with a focus on achieving a return on investment.

    On any given day, you may be called on to:

    • Negotiate licensing agreements and anticipate, understand, and react to potential and current sponsor or customer needs.

    • Identify, develop, and implement both near-term and long-term strategies for development of technologies, services, follow-on programs, or industries.

    • Achieve commercialization revenue targets.

    • Provide technical, scientific and business guidance to customers, sponsors, and staff/management responding to technology commercialization related questions, issues, and problems.

    • Manage on-going customer and sponsor relationships for Sandia for mission benefit.

    • Identify potential licensees and conduct sales calls.

    Salary Range:

    $102,400 - $235,700

    *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

    Qualifications We Require:

    • Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering STEM related field PLUS a relevant graduate degree in a science, engineering, or legal field

    • Five years relevant experience

    • Experience successfully working with partners, and negotiating and executing license agreements for advanced technologies (patents and software)

    • Experience negotiating contracts and/or settlements with multiple parties

    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L Security Clearance

    Qualifications We Desire:

    • PhD in Science or Engineering field or JD

    • Track record of delivering commercialization results in a licensing position (e.g. achieves commercialization targets) for both patents and software

    • Experience successfully negotiating and executing license agreements for advanced technologies (patents and software) in a multitude of national security areas

    • Knowledge of and experience with state-of-the-art licensing advanced technologies and management of technology processes

    • Experience meeting business goals in a complex regulatory environment

    About Our Team:

    The Technology Partnerships Agreements, Licensing, and Intellectual Property (IP) Department 1982 is responsible for negotiating and executing CRADA, NFE and Licensing agreements, and managing and deploying Sandia's IP portfolio.

    Posting Duration:
