Software Engineer

Corporate Risk Management provides a second line of defense for Schwab by providing independent assessments of the firm's risk by using models, controls and systems to measure financial, operational, compliance, and legal risks to Schwab's business, employees, and customers.

We are looking for a talented technical hands-on software engineer to solve challenges in Financial Crime for both software and data area. In this individual contributor role, you will partner with IT engineers and quantitative modelers to support real-time system and business functionalities.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.

• 3+ years data engineering with solid experience in SQL, Oracle etc

• 3+ years experience in C# and .NET

• Deep experience in Google Cloud services including Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, etc

• Demonstrated experience working with BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics

• Understanding of cloud-native application development and deployment

• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and drive process improvements.

• Excellent communication skills and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with Actimize, Oracle or similar financial crime prevention platforms

• Knowledge of brokerage business processes and regulatory requirements.

• Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures.

• Exposure to BI tools and big data platforms.
