What you'll be doing
Utilize existing network to develop and expand the refined products client portfolio as a primary focus area
Structure and execute complex derivative transactions for refined products clients that deliver value to both customers and Shell
Contribute to growth strategies across other commodity sectors including crude, natural gas, power and natural gas liquids
Actively manage a portfolio of client relationships, upselling services and identifying new opportunities
Collaborate with internal trading desks to provide liquidity and market-making efforts
Identify and develop innovative hedging structures to meet unique client needs
Navigate cross-functional approval processes working with legal, credit, compliance, contracts teams and any other internal stakeholders
Adhering to and maintaining comprehensive understanding of Dodd-Frank and other regulatory and compliance requirements
Contribute to people development by mentoring junior team members and sharing market expertise
Represent Shell at industry conferences and networking events

The geographic scope is North America with focus on key regional markets
The product scope includes refined products (primary), crude, natural gas, power, natural gas liquids derivatives and structured products
Develop relationships with mid-level and C-Suite executives. Contribute to strategic planning for business growth and product development. Actively contribute to managing STRM's client portfolio of relationships, upselling services, identifying and developing innovative hedging structures to meet unique client needs delivering value to both clients and Shell.
Collaborate with internal trading desks to provide liquidity and market-making. Manage STRM's client portfolios per mandates, policies and procedures
Navigate cross-functional approval processes working with legal, credit, compliance, and contracts and other teams as required
Adhere to and maintain comprehensive understanding of Dodd-Frank and other regulatory and compliance requirements

Excellent relationship management skills with both external clients and internal stakeholders
Ability to analyze complex market dynamics and identify creative solutions
Bachelor's degree required: advanced degree in finance, economics or related field preferred
Relevant industry certifications: for example, Associated Persons would be beneficial
What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $184,000 - $276,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
