er to join our team in Detroit. This pivotal role will be responsible for the planning, execution, and post-event analysis of events, ranging from small, intimate gatherings to large-scale events of 300+ attendees. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proven ability to manage all aspects of the event lifecycle, from initial concept to successful completion. You will be the driving force behind creating memorable and impactful experiences for our valued advisors, their families, our team members, and other guests.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
End-to-End Event Management: Oversee the complete event planning process, including defining objectives, developing concepts, establishing timelines, managing budgets, and coordinating all logistical aspects.
Vendor Management & Negotiation: Identify, source, negotiate with, and manage a diverse range of vendors (e.g., venues, caterers, audiovisual providers, transportation) to ensure high-quality service delivery within budget.
Budget Management: Develop and manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness while maximizing ROI.
Project Management: Create and maintain detailed project plans, track progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure all deadlines are met.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders, including the events team, leadership, and advisors, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment with event goals.
Content & Programming Support: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop engaging event content, including speaker selection, agenda creation, and presentation materials.
On-Site Event Execution: Manage on-site event logistics, including setup, registration, attendee management, vendor coordination, and troubleshooting.
Advisor Engagement: Interact with our advisors, ensuring their needs are met and that they have a valuable and productive event experience. Solicit feedback to incorporate into future events.

WHAT YOU HAVE
7+ years of experience in event management, with a strong emphasis on planning and executing large-scale events.
Established relationships with a network of vendors in the Detroit area (preferred, but not required).
Proven ability to develop and manage event budgets from $100,000 to $1,000,000+.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills enabling you to effectively interact with diverse audiences, including executives, vendors, and attendees.
Proficiency in software and tech solutions, like GSuite, Slack, and more.
Must be based in the Detroit metropolitan area.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed for events.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The US base salary for this full-time position is determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
