Meet the Team

Silicon Labs Mass Market Technical Enablement team runs and oversees internal technical programs. The team aims to represent and respond to mass market customer technical needs from product creation to end of life.

We provide engineering solutions in various fields, for example Zephyr OS or Arduino. We create code examples and reference applications for our IoT products, including multi-protocol wireless SoC's, 32-bit ARM Cortex-based MCU's.

The Role

In this role you will serve as senior embedded software engineer. You will work closely with various software engineering and applications teams to define and implement a broad range of software solutions including driver, middle-ware, tooling and sample applications development targeting mass-market segments.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining technical requirements given business and market requirements

• Defining and implementing driver and middle-ware APIs for different ICs (sensors, actuators)

• Contribute and maintain Silicon Labs Arduino, Zephyr embedded toolchains and related code examples

• Working closely with program manager, developers, QA, and contractors to accelerate and expand our library of sample applications

Skills You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

• BSc in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

• Experience in embedded software development and with systems architecture

• Strong experience in embedded software development with embedded C

• Proficient in software productivity tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, etc.

• Proficient written and spoken English skills; excellent communicator

• Experience in software engineering processes and the full software development life-cycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance in a continuous integration environment

• Experience with common serial communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART)

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

• Experience in highly constrained, real time, embedded environments

• Experience with wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth LE/Mesh, Zigbee/Thread/Matter, IEEE 802.15.4, Wi-Fi)

• Experience with ZephyrOS

• Experience with opensource software contribution
