ata Cloud. Come join our world-class team as a Senior Software Engineer to build the search and discovery services for data cloud to help our customers find the right data for their enterprise applications.
AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL :

  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure powering sophisticated browse and search recommendation surfaces.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, other engineering teams, data science organizations, business groups, to drive end to end solutions.
  • Work closely with our frontend engineers to build highly performant backend services that support a cutting edge interactive UI.
  • Contribute to improving our engineering processes, tooling, and standards.
  • Debug production issues across multiple services and improve reliability/stability.

OUR IDEAL SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL HAVE:

  • 7+ years industry experience designing, building and supporting discovery systems in production.

  • Proven track record of solving search quality and ranking problems

  • Extremely strong fundamental computer science skills.

  • Deep multi-faceted appreciation in building end-to-end customer facing products.

  • Strong knowledge of Java.

  • Knowledge of search and recommendation systems

  • Experience driving company initiatives towards customer satisfaction.

  • Experience working with cross teams and product managers.

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $195,000 - $287,500.

  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
