Operations Supervisor monitors the efficiency of the department and applies methods to improve processes. The position will keep track of key performance indicators, monitor compliance with operational policies, and the progress of tasks.
Supervisory Responsibilities
In collaboration with other operations supervisors and managers, participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new staff
Oversee daily workflow, and collaborate with staff, management, and leadership to remove any operational efficiency barriers, and promote a positive work environment
Escalate employee concerns (performance, discipline, terminations, leaves, etc.) to upper management and Human Resources for the purposes of company policy compliance
General Responsibilities
Collaborate with other operations supervisors to drive a cultural environment focused on safety and good housekeeping amongst all members of the shift
Oversee efficiency of operational processes related to customer fulfillment and order accuracy
Ensure shipping deadlines and dispatch times are met
Identify, create, and troubleshoot any routing for Late Night dispatch as necessary
In collaboration with other department supervisors and managers identify, investigate, and resolve delays in shift operations specific to the picking and checking processes
Monitor the maintenance and necessary repairs to equipment
Analyze business requirements and customer needs
Provide direct support to shift associates to ensure that their needs are being met
Other duties as necessary
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business management or related field preferred
Experience:
At least 5 years experience working in Warehouse environment,
At least 2 years experience working in Supervisory Capacity
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Physical stamina and attention to detail
Experience operating and training individuals on an electric pallet jack or forklift
Organized and ability to work with team members
Knowledge of operation logistics, continuous improvement process
Proficient in Math, Microsoft Office Applications with particular focus on Excel
Highly organized analytical thinker with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of codes, laws, regulations, and policies
