Compensation: competitive annual salary
As a Collections Specialist, you will partner with team members and customers to prioritize and collect accounts receivable. You will work closely with the credit manager in supporting the revenue targets and goals for Springfield Electric. As a Collection Specialist you will collect necessary documentations, maintain strong recordkeeping, have a strong follow-up methodology and enjoy collaborating with our customers and associates.
What You'll Do
Communicate with customers and sales teams of orders being held and released once credit standing is resolved
Monitor receivables and collections, prioritizes and collects outstanding account receivables
Identify and recommendations to leadership, "for credit holds" on accounts
Resolve in a timely manner, disputed items and escalated to leadership, as needed
Review credit documentation, approve new accounts, and override reporting to update credit files to ensure appropriate credit limits are placed
What you bring:
2+ years of related experience
High School diploma or GED; additional college level education within Accounting/Finance desired
Desire to collaborate with people of varied backgrounds and management levels
Ability to communicate and share solutions across the team
Problem-solving skills and experience with MS Office suite
