    Commercial Area Manager
    Location: Nashville, TN
    Job type: Full-time

    What You'll Do

    • Responsibilities and Reporting Structure: The Commercial Area Manager is ultimately responsible for driving commercial growth in the Nashville Area, which includes 5 branches. Direct reports include 1 branch manager and the commercial outside sales team in Nashville. This position reports to the Regional Vice President.

    • Set Sales Strategy: Determine direction and scope for the sales force to compete successfully in the market, meet customers' needs, gain an advantage over competitors, and exploit or create new opportunities.

    • Execute Sales Strategy: Implement sales strategy through selecting, training, motivating, and supporting the sales force, setting sales revenue targets, sales revenue forecasts, and sales plans.

    • Sales Management: Manage the productivity of the sales force, set expectations, monitor and evaluate sales performance, motivate and mentor sales associates, and develop the sales team.

    • Drive Solutions Sales: Work with the Solutions Director and team to drive solution sales in the areas of digital, gear, lighting, tools and safety, prefab, mod shop, and secure our position as the electrical distributor of choice.

    • Achieve Financial Goals: Continually monitor area financial activities to guide and direct others to meet their goals, objectives, and priorities.

    • Customer and Vendor Relations: Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with customers, vendor partners, agents, and other business partners. Ensure that we are meeting customer needs and offering our vendor partners the best channel to market.

    • Administrative: Carry out responsibilities and daily activities related to reporting and analytics for sales performance and management.

    • Employee Development: Encourage associates to acquire new or advanced skills, knowledge, and viewpoints by providing learning opportunities and avenues for applying such new ideas.

    • Performance Management: Add value to the organization by promoting improved job performance of our Sales Associates.

    • Drive for Results: Demonstrate concern for achieving or surpassing results against an internal or external standard of excellence. Display a passion for improving service delivery and a commitment to continuous improvement.

    • Professionalism: Think carefully about the likely effects on others by one's words, actions, appearance, and mode of behavior. Select the words or actions most likely to have the desired effect on the individual or group in question.

    What You Bring

    • Experience in Sales (Electrical Industry preferred)

    • Displayed leadership roles effectively motivating, delegating, and communicating vision to the team

    • Ability to create and execute sales strategy and communicate effectively

    • Bachelor's Degree or experience in lieu of degree, 2-5 years' experience in Sales/Sales Management

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    • Good writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
