As an IT Intern, you will experience a real-life preview of the inner workings of a multi-state electrical distribution company, specifically from the perspective of the IT department.
This position will sit in our Hamilton, NJ office and work a hybrid work schedule.
Project-Based Learning
Develop both technical and project execution skills through multiple assigned projects.
Participate in the deployment of technology assets to reduce technical debt and improve cybersecurity capabilities.
Design and implement file repositories in SharePoint and OneDrive to enable effective and secure data sharing.
Take part in the rhythms of IT delivery through team meetings, department town halls, and ad hoc working groups.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with associates across IT and other departments.
Industry Exposure
Gain insight into Sonepar Management Group and the electrical distribution industry.
Understand key drivers of customer satisfaction and how technology can serve as a competitive advantage.
What You Bring:
Education & Certifications
Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related field preferred.
Pursuing A+, Network+, and/or Security+ Certification preferred.
Pursuing ITIL Foundations Certification preferred.
Software & Hardware Proficiency
Microsoft Suite of Products.
Desktop/laptop hardware and application support.
Mobile Devices - iOS and Android.
Printer configuration and support.
Experience & Skills
Previous experience in a technical user support environment preferred.
