What You'll Do
The Warehouse Driver is the face of the World Electric, driving a company provided truck (24' state body truck) to transport materials to our valued customers. This position's responsibilities include operating company equipment in a safe manner, while ensuring that our product is in perfect condition and ready for our customers.
You will:
Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner, following all state and federal laws and regulations.
Communicate with sales associates or manager through problem solving to meet customer needs.
Acts in a helpful and cooperative manner towards customers and World associates.
Ensure truck is in safe operating condition and maintains a clean appearance.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
Load and unload trucks with equipment
Construct pallets based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.
Participate in processes and programs aimed at promoting a safe work environment. This includes following Safety Procedures and wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Clean Motor Vehicle Record Required
Requirements:
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.
Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy.
Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements.
Removing gates from flatbed trucks
Occasionally, may be required to lift items greater than 75lbs with assistance.
Strong math and reading skills
