Inventory Recovery Manager
Location: Houston, TX
Job type: Full time
Role Summary:
Mitigate the financial impact of inventory loss across the organization.
What You'll Do
Monitor and validate all inventory adjustments including proper coding & root cause analysis. Train associates as necessary to avoid future errors.
Mitigate incremental obsolescence reserve by proactively managing aging inventory. Determine effective secondary cost recovery measures where necessary.
Act as primary point of contact for all disposal/sale/auction of fully reserved inventory including proper documentation, internal control & compliance
Manage and standardize scrap wire process; collection, security & disposal
Manage cycle count program including achievement of annual key metrics
Identify any transactions causing large inventory fluctuations, validate and address root cause where applicable
Manage a team of up to four associates to accomplish the above objectives across Crawford's 60+ branches.
Provide one-on-one and group training sessions on warehouse processes as needed
Collaborate across departments and with other operational managers to drive optimal productivity
Demonstrate the ability to build solid and trusting relationships with Crawford's warehouse management and personnel
What You Bring
A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five+ years' of relevant experience; inventory recovery, electrical supply, etc.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
