Order Processing: Process payments and obtain credit authorizations, requisition merchandise for delivery or pick-up, load, unload, and transport materials, package items for shipment, and label materials for easy identification.
Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials within or near work site per sales ticket, packaging merchandise for shipment by common carrier with proper identifying tags and labels.
Subject Matter Expert: Determine product details through familiarity with products by use, vendor and location in warehouse. Acquire, use, and continuously develop technical knowledge of electrical products to assist customers and other company personnel. Identify and use appropriate company and/or customer pricing systems.
Team Lead: Cultivate a winning culture by leading and working alongside the warehouse team, promoting proper training, and fostering a team mentality with a focus on safety and coaching.
Safety First: Ensure all safety protocols are prioritized and followed while performing warehouse duties and operating material handling equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies to move, stock, or reorganize storage.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience and knowledge in warehouse operations and distribution.
Knowledge of safety practices and ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Ability to present information related to products and shipments, and effectively communicate with team members, managers, and customers in a high-urgency environment.
Accurately calculate figures and amounts such as expected quantities, pricing, and percentages.
Proficiency in basic computer functions with Microsoft Windows, Office, and various software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership experience in warehouse distribution.
PIT/Forklift operation, understanding of OSHA and SDS.
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), one - two years desired from a two-year college; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
