What You'll Do
The Wire Cutter is responsible for the wire cutting in the warehouse. The individual receives, stores, cuts, parallels, and install Heads based on customer orders. The individual also manages all wire cut lengths in wire management system.
You will:
Selects, pulls and cuts appropriate lengths and types of wire based on customer order.
Verifies the accuracy of the wire cuts.
Logs wire cuts.
Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Weighs or counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Verifies the product that has been picked and documents discrepancies on an error log and has correct product re-picked.
Uses computer to enter records into the wire management system.
What You'll Bring
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
1 year or more related experience and/or training; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements:
Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.
Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division & percentages) accurately & quickly
Computer literacy and data entry skills
Full-time experience working with Eclipse Software is a bonus
Ability to work with flexibility and adaptability to workplace situations/expectations
Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.
Physical Demands: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.):
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.
Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.
Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8-hour day
Continuous mental and visual alertness to maintain safety and achieve accuracy.
Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements.
Occasionally, may be required to lift items greater than 75lbs with assistance.
