Position summary

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Conduct line assembly, sub-assembly and in-process inspections.

  • Reference blueprints, interpret dimensioning shown and review inspection results against engineering and customer expectations.

  • Perform Fidelity Assessments after Sparton training.

  • Interact with program's operators, Group Leads, and Supervisors.

  • Provide feedback to operations and Quality Engineers about program's quality issues.

  • Check, measure, and enforce product adherence to program's Quality Audit Quality Inspection Plans (QAQI).

  • Complete respective paperwork/documentation.

  • Record inspection results and maintain general filing.

  • Enter/extract data in computer.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

Skills and Abilities

  • US Citizenship is required

  • Must possess good math fundamentals, comprehend written work instructions and communicate well.

  • Ability to use GO/ NO GO, direct and fixed gauges, scales, micrometers, direct reading electrical test sets. Sparton training will be provided.

  • Ability to interpret simple and complex parts of assembly drawings.

  • Must be willing to obtain general or advanced soldering workmanship standard certification.

  • Willingness and ability to obtain/retain ESD Precautions Standards certification.

  • Must have basic understanding of PC systems data entry, retrieval.

  • Must meet minimum requirements for vision and color recognition tests.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk, and communicate, use hands/finger, feel, and reach with arms. This position requires the ability to lift, bend or stoop as necessary up to 20lbs.
