Primary Responsibilities:
Support experienced business professionals in performance of assignments and shadow actual operations.
Assist in the coordination of orders for material in conjunction with Procurement, at levels that achieve the appropriate days on-hand inventory and being cognizant of inventory valuation and storage space utilization.
Assist in conducting bidders conferences, analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, and create procurement documents.
Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and internal Sparton policies.
Coordinate with engineering, quality, and finance to mitigate supplier performance risk and resolve issues.
Assist in the material receipt through lineside delivery process by gaining experience in Receiving processes, Put-away, move order execution and delivery, and cycle counting for accuracy.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Assist with expired material search, Production Control ordering, and AFB cycle counting.
Recommend and develop improved processes and procedures.
Assist in inventory discrepancy investigations to determine root cause and correction.
Requirements:
Sparton interns must meet the following criteria:
Active pursuit of a Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to work on-site in De Leon Springs, FL
Travel Requirement: Less than 10%
