    Position summary

    How You'll Make an Impact

    • Conduct daily on-site security operations, including access control, patrols, alarm response, mail screening, critical incident response, and incident investigations

    • Identify and report security vulnerabilities and safety issues, creating and updating incident reports as necessary

    • Coordinate and liaise with internal business partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration

    • Adhere to Spectrum's policies, when handling sensitive or confidential information

    • Ensure quality service while maintaining and utilizing team equipment

    • Become proficient in Spectrum security platforms and technology, conduct required security training and assist with special events and other duties as needed

    What You'll Bring to Spectrum

    Required Qualifications

    Education

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    Experience

    • 2+ years of customer service in retail or hospitality sector

    • Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation

    • Ability to register with state and local authorities as a security guard

    • Ability to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated

    Skills

    • Consistently display a professional and positive attitude

    • Effective oral and written communication skills

    • Active listening skills and ability to interact cordially and communicate with the team, internal partners, and the public

    • Ability to implement processes

    • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively

    • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, and employ appropriate measures

    • Ability to successfully complete all training required for the position

    • Ability to use office software/computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

    • Ability to operate a radio, telephone, and cellular phone with associated applications

    • Ability to learn Spectrum's access control systems, guard tour platform, video systems, and other security-related technology

    Preferred Qualifications

    Education

    • Security Certification Graduate of a law enforcement training academy

    Experience

    • Prior law enforcement/military/fire service/hospitality/customer service/security operations in a corporate setting
