    Position summary

    prove the customers' experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support business initiatives.

    WHAT OUR SOFTWARE ENGINEER IV ENJOY MOST

    • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

    • Design and implement new functionality that is testable and performant with limited oversight and guidance following best practices and approved code patterns.

    • Operate within the various elements of Charter's applicable technical systems and the impacts of their work on the organization's outcomes.

    • Understand and apply different SDLC processes, particularly Agile and Scrum; participates fully in Scrum rituals.

    • Understand and apply applicable technology security and industry regulatory and legal compliance considerations.

    • Identify fixes to defects raised.

    • Identify system integration issues.

    • Lead code review, debugging, and testing of software applications.

    • Provide an LOE on a project / feature level.

    • Develop software independently and write testable and performant code.

    • Develop technical requirements and technical design documents.

    • Support major deployments and resolve critical deployment issues.

    • Collaborate with other team members to identify and solve technical problems.

    • Respond to customer inquiries around the behavior of the developed software.

    • Mentor Software Developer I and Software Developer IIs.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

    Required Qualifications

    Experience:

    o Database management systems - 2-4+ years

    o Coding, testing, and designing software - 2-4+ years

    o Software development methodologies - 2-4+ years

    Education:

    BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Technical skills:

    o Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool

    o Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns

    o Demonstrated knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development

    o Demonstrated knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores

    o Demonstrated knowledge of design patterns and software architecture patterns

    Skills:

    o Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

    o Functional negotiation skills

    o Showcases Project / Feature level work to their team and senior technical leadership

    Abilities:

    o Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

    o Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues

    o Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe

    o Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors

    Preferred Qualifications:

    · Web Services Development: Proven experience in building RESTful web services with a strong understanding of API design and best practices.

    · Frontend: Experience building Angular web applications with modern UI, reusable components, and best practices

    · Java Development: Hands-on Java development experience, preferably with Java 17 or higher, including functional programming and performance optimizations.

    · Spring Boot & Dependency Injection: Deep knowledge of Spring Boot, dependency injection, and microservices development experience.

    · Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS. Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

    · Databases: Strong working knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DocumentDB. Familiarity with relational databases.

    · System & CI/CD Tools: Experience working in Unix/Linux environments, with proficiency in GitLab, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools for automated deployments.

    · Software Design & Architecture: Preferably has design and architecture experience, including system design patterns, scalability, and best coding practices.

    The base pay for this position generally is between $88,200.00 and $156,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
