    Position summary

    thout the big upfront costs. Sunrun is dedicated residential solar company in the country and has a mission to bring clean, solar power service to the masses.
    This position reports to our San Francisco, CA office. May telecommute. Requires up to 10% travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. for client meetings. Salary offered: $184,000/ year.

    Responsibilities:

    • Onboard/embed with Sunrun Accounting temporarily to fully understand Snapnrack's Accounting needs and current setup in Oracle.

    • Lead the establishment of a separate Accounting department for Snapnrack, with assistance from Sunrun's Accounting team.

    • Play a key role in transitioning Snapnrack's accounting into Acumatica ERP, from the current Oracle ERP, including determining and communicating business requirements and performing user testing.

    • Manage all areas of accounting in the Acumatica ERP system, including but not limited to: Inventory/cost accounting, Revenue/COGS/Margin, OpEx/Departmental accounting, Payroll

    • Processing and Journal Entry posting, Bank reconciliations / Cash Management / Treasury, Fixed Assets / Prepaids / Other General Ledger Accounting, monthly close process

    • Manage all compliance, including Income tax, Sales & Use Tax, and all registrations and filings. Coordinate with external tax professionals as needed.

    • Lead Treasury, including banking relationship and cash needs/transfers to and from parent company.

    • Manage all SOX controls for SnapNrack

    • Work closely with Head of Strategy & Finance, Staff Sales Support Analyst and executive management to support Strategic Finance related activities (budget, forecast, variance analysis, reporting)

    • Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to at least one junior accountant

    • Provide reporting and analysis to executive management and investors

    • Assist in departmental, resource and project planning

    • Other ad hoc projects as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Accounting or Finance + 2 y. exp. as an Accountant or Financial Analyst, applying U.S. GAAP principles, performing inventory and cost accounting, internal controls and compliance support, including SOX control environments and audit support; tax and compliance coordination with external advisors; applying treasury and cash management principles; using an ERP system such as Oracle, SAP or similar; using Advanced Excel & Google Workspace; and performing UAT in coordination with IT.

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance + 5 y. exp. as an Accountant or Financial Analyst, applying U.S. GAAP principles, performing inventory and cost accounting, internal controls and compliance support, including SOX control environments and audit support; tax and compliance coordination with external advisors; applying treasury and cash management principles; using an ERP system such as Oracle, SAP or similar; using Advanced Excel & Google Workspace; and performing UAT in coordination with IT.
