Associate Application Engineers are members of a team of highly motivated individuals working with customers crafting the most sophisticated hardware and software systems in the world and whose applications span the electronics industry.
The area of specialism you will be trained in is Formal Verification. You will acquire techniques during the training program which will allow you to rapidly become a highly skilled engineer. This will also give you outstanding insight into our technical marketing, product support, and sales organizations. Upon successful completion of this 12-month training program, you will be eligible to advance into one of these organizations. Post-program opportunities include Field Application Engineer and Corporate Applications Engineer positions.
Associate positions require excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; self-motivated and results driven with strong problem-solving skills. Some travel may be required .
Required Experience:
Education:
Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering, or equivalent .
Technical Skills:
Coursework and project experience with analog and RF circuit design and verification using SPICE simulators.
Knowledge of Analog Design methodologies and flows, including the different types of analysis solutions for analog design including Spice, Fast-Spice, Mixed Signal - Mixed-Mode analyses, and flows
Exposure to the following
PLLs (Phase-Locked Loops),
ADC/DAC (Analog-to-Digital and Digital-to-Analog Converters)
RFICs (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits)
PMICs (Power Management Integrated Circuits)
Tools and Software:
Familiarity with Virtuoso Analog Design Environment (ADE)
Knowledge of circuit simulators, including such as - AFS (A nalog FastSPICE ), Eldo, HSPICE, Spectre , Finesim
Working familiarity of Unix and Linux OS, and previous experience with scripting
Programming and Scripting Languages: Shell, Python and Tcl
Excellent organizational and time management skills
This position is available preferably in I ta l y (Milan) . And then, o r France (Grenoble) or Germany.
