Software Development Intern
The Mechanical Analysis Division is seeking qualified candidates for our QA Testing/Software Developer intern position. Candidates will work within an Agile development team focused on developing an award-winning CFD thermal simulation solution. Candidates must be able to work as an effective team member, contribute to team decisions, and support peers closely in the software development process.
As a intern working on alongside our Mechanical Analysis team, you'll have the opportunity to:
Conduct QA testing on new software
Develop unit test(s)
Develop new software in C# using WPF and interface design features related to the next generation product solution
Organization Qualifications:
Pursing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Available to work 40 hours per week and be online no later than 8:30 AM.
One class may be taken in the afternoon or evening during each semester as long as work performance does not suffer. Classes cannot be taken in the morning hours.
Candidates should have exposure to software development with experience designing, coding, and debugging.
Additional desirable knowledge:
Software development process in an Agile Scrum development environment
Software development using Visual Studio and C#
Experience with using Git, Jira, and Bitbucket
Operating systems: Windows
Knowledge of Solidworks or other 3D Mechanical software

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
