Software Engineer Intern - Data, Analytics, Automation focus

We're a team of curious data experts that specialize in uncovering valuable insights from data to inform and optimize the go-to-market strategies for Siemens software products. By leveraging advanced data analysis techniques, we provide critical support to the DI SW organization in understanding customer behavior, market trends, and the competitive landscape, ultimately driving successful product launches and business growth.

As an intern on the team, you will:

• Partner with developers and data scientists to develop, modify, and implement software applications

• CI/CD around an existing ETL application

• Research and develop innovative algorithms to confront business challenges facing marketing and sales organizations

• Create documentation from independent research findings

• Participate in planning of future projects, such as prototyping AI agents

Experience and Skills

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field such as Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, or Applied Mathematics.

• Understanding of Python and SQL, Django/JavaScript is a plus

• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts, familiarity with any major AI/ML framework, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, is a plus

• Experience with data manipulation libraries like Pandas or NumPy is a plus

• Student must be proactive, capable of setting their own timelines, able to work independently, and disciplined

• Ability and desire to learn new languages and framework

• Sharp and tenacious trouble shooting skills

• Passionate about solving technical challenges

• Creative, fast learner

• Independent thinker and self-motivated researcher

• Adaptable to new tasks with little lead time

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The hourly pay range for this position is 18-50 per hour for first time Interns or 18-50 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
