    Position summary

Our work involves strategy, idea incubation, market intelligence, and operations. The team's recent work (in partnership with others across Capital Group) includes:

    • Developing Capital Group's firm-wide multi-year strategic plan

    • Assessing and prioritizing new product opportunities for large-scale investment

    • Evolving our sales coverage model to target our largest distribution opportunities

    • Identifying and prioritizing opportunities to transform business processes through emerging technologies (e.g., agentic AI, blockchain, etc.)

    As a Strategy & Innovation Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on Capital Group's top strategic priorities in a collaborative team setting while building experience in corporate strategy and asset management. The work will be intellectually challenging with opportunity for significant business impact.

    • You will have a high level of responsibility and own key modules on strategy projects

    • You will conduct rigorous research, drive high quality analysis, and distill strategic insights

    • You will develop and present materials that frame strategically relevant context, logical fact-based recommendations, and trade-offs to senior business leaders

    • You will partner with senior business leaders and interface with other teams throughout Capital Group

    • You will collaborate on a wide range of strategic efforts that the S&I team is engaged on across our business

    • You are a current student pursuing an MBA at a top tier institution, and have a record of academic success with a grad year of 2027

    • You possess strong research capabilities, superior analytical and critical thinking skills, and great attention to detail

    • You can break down complex and ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, and generate insights

    • You can develop concise and effective verbal and written communications tailored to partners at all levels across the organization

    • You have strong collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams

    • You are interested in business strategy and asset management

    • Prior experience in the consulting industry is highly preferred

    The deadline to apply for this position is Friday, November 28th. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. First round interviews will take place during the week of January 5-8. Final round interviews will be scheduled during the week of January 12-16. All interviews will be conducted virtually. Offers will be extended by January 31.

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
