    Position summary

    s. The individual will need to be able to quickly develop a deep understanding of Capital Group's fixed income range, investment approach, and an ability to synthesise information to enable CG associates to speak credibly to its strengths. In addition, they will partner with the ID team to generate investment insights for our sales and marketing teams.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Partners with the fixed income ID and investment teams to develop a deep understanding of investment ideas, strategy and positioning

    • Acts as the expert for their area of product/strategy coverage, primarily for internal business partners (and selectively for external stakeholders as required), including a close partnership with sales and client teams to respond to client requests and queries

    • Drives investment content and narrative to support the ID team in delivering fixed income subject matter expertise at client meetings, conferences, events and other external engagements

    • Develops key messages to appropriately position and differentiate Capital Group's fixed income capabilities and solutions, adapting for regional and/or investor segment considerations

    • Advocates for the fixed income offering, working with IDs, sales, marketing and other business partners to establish agreement on sales strategy, marketing approach and client requirements

    • Contributes to the analysis of market trends and competitive dynamics to understand investor requirements and how it impacts Capital Group's fixed income offerings

    • Contributes to the overall strategy of Capital Group's fixed income business, including new product strategy efforts

    • Builds positive working relationships with key internal stakeholders across Capital Group's Europe, Asia and North American business through understanding their issues and showing them the benefits of partnering as a team

    • Ideally at least 6-8 years within the asset management industry, with exposure to an investment team environment and/or as an investment/product specialist delivering subject-matter expertise and investment insights

    • You have a robust understanding of fixed income markets and a range of fixed income strategies

    • You demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with a variety of internal and external audiences, with experience in distilling complex concepts into simple language and in providing investment insights

    • You have experience in interacting with and extracting information from fixed income portfolio management tools and platforms, including front-office systems as well as market tools such as Bloomberg

    • You demonstrate intellectual curiosity, analytical and problem-solving skills

    • You are organised and detail-orientated, committed to delivering accurate investment insights and content in a responsive and timely manner

    • You are self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating the ability to take the initiative - and where appropriate apply a commercial lens - to drive results

    • You are highly collaborative and are comfortable partnering with multiple teams across timezones to deliver outcomes

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
