    THE ROLE

    This is an exciting opportunity join the world's largest active asset manager as we look to broaden and deepen our relationships with Global Financial Intermediaries across Asia and Europe.

    Global Financial Intermediaries (GFI) are a central pillar of Capital Group's growth plan in Asia and Europe and the successful candidate will have an opportunity to grow and shape the business against the backdrop of a company culture that encourages and thrives upon partnership, collaboration, and teamwork.

    Working with the senior management team of the European & Asia Client Group (EACG), this person is responsible for taking a leading role in driving commercial growth through the raising and retention of GFI client assets globally, with a primary focus on pan Asia client coverage.

    Whilst the role has an Asia focus, it is crucial this individual brings a global perspective and forms a strong partnership with the local sales teams and Enterprise Relationship Management (part of North America Client Group).

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Work with senior EACG stakeholders and the central GFI team to execute the GFI sales strategy

    • Work in partnership with sales teams across Asia and Europe, to deliver growth of GFI relationships

    • Work with relevant BDMs to develop cohesive account plans for targeted GFIs

    • Develop and coordinate senior engagement between CG leadership team and GFI partners

    • Work with relevant CG associates globally to deliver market leading 'partnership services' (over and above the investment proposition) for GFI clients

    • Coordinate cross border sales campaigns and fund launch initiatives with GFI clients

    • Work with GFI Marketing team to deliver first class account-based marketing

    • Work with Client Service teams to ensure cohesive cross-border client support

    • Represent the 'GFI client view' internally and help to shape decisions on areas of strategic priority (ESG, Brand, Product, etc)

    • Provide direction for Business Development Associates

    • Fully utilize and help develop Capital's CRM tool and ensure notes are accurately captured and shared with global team

    SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Demonstrates ability to influence key external contacts at key financial intermediaries

    • Demonstrates effective communication skills with a diverse group of associates, senior business leaders and a diverse group of individuals outside the organization. Is an excellent listener and a thoughtful questioner

    • Demonstrates ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives

    • Demonstrates effectiveness in leading/facilitating meetings internally and externally with senior business leads

    • Demonstrates ability to prioritise and organize own workload and complete in a timely manner

    • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the investment industry in terms of products, competitors, market practices, trends and future developments affecting the EACG function

    CORE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Demonstrates substantive sales experience and established network of relationships with Global Financial Intermediaries across APAC

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Travel required throughout APAC

    • Location: Hong Kong or Singapore

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
