    We are building a next-generation, integrated experience for Portfolio Managers and Analysts in Capital Group's Investment Group (IG). We're looking for an ambitious, thoughtful product leader who can take the helm of our proprietary research application and work across asset classes to evolve the end user experience for different audiences. The right candidate will boldly envision and believe in a truly game-changing customer experience. They will work relentlessly and creatively with a variety of stakeholders - from investor-customers, fellow product managers, UX designers, operations managers, and software engineers - to make steady progress.

    Tactical Responsibilities:

    • Manage roadmaps for 1-3 engineering pods which are building key software applications.

    • Manage specific integrations between "satellite systems" and primary applications. This includes proactive, assertive, and transparent management of current initiatives as well as definition of future integrations.

    • Serve as the Product partner for Fixed Income Technology.

    Strategic Responsibilities:

    • Uncover Fixed Income investor needs and translate them into a new investor experience alongside business operations and technology partners.

    • Set the vision for search and alerting and demonstrate progress with clear experiments and metrics.

    • Drive new cross-asset strategy as Product Manager for Fixed Income Technology. This includes interfacing with Architecture, TSO, and other engineering organizations, as well as intensive customer research, to arrive at invention of the right ways to think holistically across the investment group.

    • You have the audacity to think strategically, ability to act tactically, and the agility to switch between the two - multiple times per day,

    • You have at least 7 years of experience in a product management capacity.

    • You have management and mentorship experience.

    • You are a self-starter with experience analyzing and understanding customer needs and translating those needs and requirements into product features and solution alternatives, applying critical thinking to enable trade-off conversations and decision-making.

    • You have depth in financial services.

    • You've been successful delivering high-quality solutions in a complex, fast paced environment.

    • You're perceived as a thought leader, and a trusted business partner.

    • Your appetite for customer data and analytical skills to extract value from them are superb. You have demonstrated success identifying and solving ambiguous problems.

    • You have a proven ability to identify customer needs and invent new ways to meet those needs.

    • You have experience and fluency in delivering briefings and presentations on business needs and recommended solutions to leaders and key stakeholders within Business and IT.

    Southern California Base Salary Range: $193,464-$328,889

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
