    Position summary

    will be focused on supporting strategic growth projects for the Legal segment - many of which revolve around how AI is impacting our markets, customers, product roadmap and go to market strategy - working closely with partners in Product, Technology, Marketing and leaders of our sales channels. They will manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, working with other members of the Corporate Strategy team and senior leaders in the Legal segment. Based in MSP, they will interact closely with Legal segment leadership, to address key strategic questions and drive forward organic and inorganic opportunities.

    About the Role
    Day-to-Day Responsibilities a s Director, Strategy :

    • Structures and leads cross-functional teams to deliver strategy projects and address key strategic questions facing the business, including organic growth strategy, options analysis and M&A origination and execution

    • Expected to play an individual delivery role in executing complex, large analytical and problem solving modules of projects

    • Able to take overall responsibility for projects, including thought leadership in problem solving and recommendations

    • Manages junior staff on projects and synthesizes team's work to create deliverables and other outputs to document and communicate findings

    • Collaborates with and presents recommendations to senior-level stakeholders

    • Prepares strategy deliverables for senior audiences including C-Suite and the Board of Directors

    • Engages externally with customers and other legal industry participants to maintain a pulse on industry trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape

    About You
    Essential Skills and Experience for the role of Director, Strategy:

    • Undergraduate degree required and further relevant education preferred e.g. MBA

    • Strong knowledge of the Legal domain in which Thomson Reuters operates

    • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience working in strategy consulting or in-house strategy teams

    • Strong narrative and visual storytelling ability

    • Synthesis and simplification of complex ideas

    • Proven project management skills; the ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands

    • Proven experience working in large, complex, global organisation with a successful track record of collaboratively working with colleagues across regions, markets and cultures

    • Significant experience of influencing and developing effective relationships with Executive Teams

    • Ability to move at pace, developing pragmatic options and solutions without "boiling the ocean", and bringing stakeholders along on the journey
