    About the Role

    As a Senior Software Engineer , you will:

    • Build and maintain high-performing, front-end big data visualizations and analytics

    • Engage the TRSS analytical staff to gather requirements, generate ideas, and develop documentation

    • Demo new software solutions as needed

    • Learn and expand your skill set on the job

    • Work with a variety of technologies, anchoring a small team across a complex network

    About You

    You're a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer if you are/have:

    Basic qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience

    • US Citizen able to acquire and maintain a Security Clearance

    • 2+ years experience in Java, Javascript, Groovy and Grails

    • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

    • Strong familiarity with React, Vue.js, D3, Bootstrap, and other similar sites and tools

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience with Big Data analytics, especially with ETL and data wrangling

    • Experience with Information retrieval technologies such as Solr, Lucene and/or ElasticSearch

    • Experience with Redis, Snowflake and Unix/Linux

    Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: KS, MI, MN, NY, VA. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $82,900 - $154,000. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
