ll. TikTok is looking for a dynamic and strategic Account Management Team Lead to join our SMB Advertising Sales team. This role is directly responsible for building relationships and helping clients drive business results on TikTok through consultation, education, and support. Ideal candidates will combine an exceptional ability to lead and grow a team of sales professionals, acts as a consultative sales player/coach, and deliver against sales quota.
TikTok follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office a minimum of 3 days a week, or as directed by the manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time. This position is full-time and based out of our Austin, TX office, which follows a 4 day in-office schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Guide team of Account Managers on consultative, client-centric selling and demonstrate strong understanding of marketing KPIs, TikTok product expertise/capabilities and measurement
- Develop and coach Account Managers in setting long and short-term goals, milestones, and tracking performance towards revenue objectives.
- Collaborate with our leadership team to establish a sales strategy and execution plan to achieve team goals.
- Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts to develop, identify, and implement effective client advertising strategies.
- Serve as an external product expert, educating key clients and agencies on TikTok ad solutions and best practices
- Develop strategies to retain clients, reduce churn, and enhance platform dependency.
- Collaborate across teams to exchange insights and drive product enhancements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- People leadership experience
- Experience in a digital advertising or ecommerce sales position
- Strong understanding of sales processes, including upselling, cross-selling, and negotiations.
- Familiarity with trends and brands within the advertising industry

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex solutions and drive client engagement.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze account performance, track KPIs, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Resourcefulness in addressing challenges and managing client expectations effectively.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, switching from strategic to operational mindset; ability to prioritize and synthesize a high volume of information
- Skilled in using internal tools to track progress, identify opportunities, and address concerns.
- Familiarity with external tools for TAM analysis and industry trend monitoring.
- Experience tracking interactions across communication platforms (Zoom, email, in-person engagements).
