    The Training & Performance organization develops and delivers policy training to promote a positive and safe environment for all of our users and content creators to enjoy and express themselves.

    Job Overview
    As a Policy Training Development Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of Policy Training Development Specialists, as well as for the development and maintainance of training material to support TikTok's enforcement efforts across the globe. You will work very closely with Trust & Safety's Policy subject matter experts, regional policy teams, and additional stakeholders to oversee and support the creation of policy training resources, identification of training needs, and strategies to address them through effective training solutions. You will lead the team in organizing train-the-trainer sessions, learning events, and instructor-led and e-learning training activities. You will be able to create effective content policy training material, deliver policy training, and effectively present updates in both oral and written forms. You will iterate the information transfer process to ensure that desired learning and performance outcomes are met.

    It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.
    Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines, which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.

    Responsibilities

    • Leading a team of Policy Training Development Specialists in the AMS region
    • Managing the development of Product Policy's training curriculum
    • Partnering with internal stakeholders in Policy and Ops to develop effective training materials
    • Driving the delivery of high quality training materials, including eLearning courses, self study, and other learning modalities
    • Translating policy information into learning content to address identified training needs and align with the desired performance outcome
    • Applying your knowledge of adult learning theory to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content, and desired outcomes
    • Creating training plans utilizing various learning methodologies and leverage learning technology to roll out training resources (online live training sessions, safe-paced eLearning courses, online and blended learning solutions)
    • Collaborating with the policy team to understand and deliver policy updates, working closely with the quality team to identify underperforming areas that should be addressed through learning solutions
    • Building and maintaining training infrastructure to deliver high quality training materials, implement robust tooling solutions, and ensure consistency and compliance
    • Measuring learning effectiveness and analyzing training gaps to create learning experiences that will bridge these gaps and meet desired performance outcomes

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with equivalent 5+ years of practical experience in creating, developing, and delivering training programs
    • Strong track record as a people manager with a minimum of 4+ years of direct people management experience
    • Excellent leadership and judgement skills, particularly in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
    • Demonstrated experience delivering on global, complex projects related to learning and training
    • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning concepts and methods
    • Strong understanding of instructional design, training design software and experience with LMS platforms is required
    • Demonstrated planning and organization skills, ability to independently manage multiple medium to large scale training projects from initiation to delivery with strong documentation
    • Excellent written & oral communication skills, public speaking, presentation skills, and overall interpersonal awareness
    • Ability to adapt to business needs and work in a fast-paced ambitious environment
    • Experience working with international partners across different time zones and cultures

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Background in tech policy, policy development, or Trust & Safety is a plus
