Backend Engineer (Real Time Communication) - TikTok

Responsibilities

• To design, configure, and maintain our RTC platform
• Write high-quality codes and perform unit testing and integration testing
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure product stability and performance
• Monitor and analyze traffic patterns and trends to ensure capacity of (Session Initialisation Protocol) SIP infrastructure - components, resources, and licensing
• Run queries against SIP logs and accounting records to develop monitoring, configure alerting, analyze trends, and aid in troubleshooting
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, maintaining in-depth knowledge of SIP standards and related technologies
• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.
• Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
• Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above with 5+ years of Linux development experience.
• Proficient in Golang, familiar with C/C++ programming language
• Understanding of RTP, RTCP, TLS, SRTP and related is preferred
• Knowledge in SIP trunk topology is preferred
• Familiar with various country's telephony rules and regulations and ability to develop routing logic to implement within a global routing environment is preferred
• Able to take initiative and ownership in seeking out solutions for problems to optimize performance and quality.
• Possess good analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem solving that is strong in isolation, triage and correlation
