    About the team
    Our Recommendation Architecture Team is responsible for building up and optimizing the architecture for our recommendation system to provide the most stable and best experience for our TikTok users. Due to the big system scale and large engineering community that covers multiple Recommendation products, we invest heavily in the developer infra area, from developer environments and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) to frameworks, libraries, and various productivity tools.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide high-performance, highly available, and flexible architecture design, high-quality code implementation, and continuously improve engineering quality based on product and strategy requirements for complex business scenarios;
    • Build a recommendation system analysis platform to provide product-level tool support for problem analysis and debugging;
    • Thoroughly comb through existing business systems, identify and optimize weak links in the system, improve the overall architecture quality, service performance, and stability of the system;
    • Abstract and precipitate common business architecture based on actual business conditions, improve the degree of basic capability reuse, and better support business rapid iteration.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science, or related fields, with at least 1 year of experience building scalable systems;
    • Experience in programming, included but not limited to, the following programming languages: C, C++, Java or Golang;
    • Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive;

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experienced in at least one area of the following areas: personalized recommendations, search engine, machine learning, distributed storage system, big data frameworks is a plus.
