You'll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Trust & Safety to turn insights into experiences that make connecting easier and better.

    What You'll Do

    • Experimentation & Causal Inference
    • Design, launch, and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments.
    • Ensure rigor: power analysis, guardrails, heterogeneity, and causal validity.
    • Social Graph & Connections
    • Analyze and model the social graph to understand how users connect.
    • Develop signals and strategies that drive high-quality interactions and growth.
    • Metrics & Product Health
    • Define and monitor core product metrics and leading indicators.
    • Investigate metric movements and recommend data-driven actions.
    • Insights to Action
    • Partner with Product and Engineering to turn findings into roadmap and features.
    • Communicate clearly with concise narratives and visualizations.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Master's in a quantitative field with 2+ years of experience.
    • Proficiency in SQL and Python/R.
    • Strong statistical rigor and causal reasoning.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • PhD (2+ yrs) or MS (4+ yrs) industry experience.
    • Experience with:
    • Graph analysis, recommendations/ranking, and large-scale experimentation.
    • Causal inference methods (e.g., diff-in-diff, matching, uplift).
    • Track record of product impact and effective cross-functional collaboration.
    • Passion for social products and understanding human connection.

    Job Information

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $144000 - $329334 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

    Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
