This role is an individual contributor role working within a centralized Employee Relations function across LATAM.
Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with HRBPs and people managers on ER related matters, including advising on employee discipline, underperformance, terminations, reasonable accommodations, complex leave scenarios and other related matters; advise and guide HRBPs on role eliminations and reductions in force;
- Interpret and apply understanding of corporate policies and practices, employment law, and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, or clarification;
- Help design and deliver trainings for employees, managers, and the HR team that ensure compliance with relevant legislative changes and guide ER best practices and help identify strategies to enhance the employee relations capabilities of our managers;
- Triage employee complaints to the appropriate workplace investigation teams and lends support and guidance for workplace investigations as needed;
- Handle all matters related to CBAs, employee committees and/or other trade unions in LATAM region;
- Closely collaborate with employment counsel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Employee Relations or related field and advantageous to have 5+ years of relevant working experience;
- Expertise in consultation, guidance and coaching to managers to address sensitive and/or difficult employee behavior and performance concerns;
- Ability to establish influential partnerships working with peers, senior leaders and across organizational lines;
- Effectively manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, prioritize conflicting demands, and execute initiatives with a bias towards actions and solutions;
- Extensive experience and expertise working with CBAs, employee committees and unions;
- Working fluent in English is preferred.
