    TikTok is seeking a visionary and experienced Engineering Leader to drive the innovation and enhancement of our Ads Platform's Intelligent Experience. We are looking for a leader with passion for building a GPT-native ads platform supporting billion dollar businesses. You will work very closely with product managers, UX, strategist and machine learning teams to bring the most intuitive and efficient platform for customers.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on developing intelligent experience for our ads platform.
    2. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that promotes continuous learning and improvement.
    3. Set clear goals, expectations, and performance standards for the engineering team.
    4. Define and execute the technical vision and strategic roadmap for the ads platform's intelligent experience, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    5. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and robust systems incorporating AI features to enhance onboarding, ad targeting, personalization, and effectiveness.
    6. Ensure best practices in software development, testing, and deployment are followed.
    7. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and front-end technologies.
    8. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the platform's performance and user experience.
    9. Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals and product requirements.
    10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
    11. Ensure the platform adheres to industry standards, security protocols, and privacy regulations.
    12. Implement rigorous testing and quality assurance processes to maintain high levels of reliability and performance.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant front-end (FE) and full-stack development experience.
    2. Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React, Angular) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
    3. Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
    4. Deep understanding of ad technologies, including programmatic advertising, real-time bidding, and user segmentation.
    5. Experience with conversational AI, recommendation systems, and Copilot-like intelligent features.

    Preferred Qualifications

    1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred
    2. Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, including experience in a leadership role
    3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under uncertainty.
    4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    5. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

    Job Information

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $245520 - $529200 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
