    Ads Platform and Interfaces teams have strong customer focus and dedication to the technical excellence, to meet our customer needs with reliable and performant platforms and services. We are looking for strong software engineers who are excited to grow their business understanding, and build highly scalable and reliable software, partnering across disciplines and geographies, to achieve the best results.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team dedicated to building the campaign creation flow for the TikTok Ads Platform.
    2. Cultivate a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning, growth, and improvement.
    3. Establish clear goals, expectations, and performance standards to guide the engineering team toward success.
    4. Define and implement the technical vision and strategic roadmap for the campaign creation experience, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
    5. Uphold best practices in software development, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
    6. Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement in platform performance and user experience.
    7. Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals and product requirements.
    8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, providing updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
    9. Implement rigorous testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the platform's reliability and performance.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. Software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend and full-stack development.
    2. Expertise in backend technologies and programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++.
    3. In-depth understanding of ad technologies, including campaign creation, ad delivery, creative, reporting, and related processes.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field.
    2. Experience in a relevant leadership role, managing and guiding engineering teams.
    3. Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make decisions in uncertain situations.
    4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    5. Proven leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

    Job Information

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $224000 - $410000 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

    Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
