    The Trust and Safety Engineering team is responsible for building a highly scalable, complex and intelligent platform that is able to manage high traffic loads. You would also be building tools to help protect our users from harmful content and abusive behaviours. With the continuous efforts of our trust and safety team, we can provide the best user experience and bring joy to everyone in the world.

    What you will be doing:

    1. Responsible to lead the team to build a highly scalable, efficient and robust trust and safety platform and tools
    2. Play a key role in driving project objectives, system design and architecture to ensure high stability and performance of the services;
    3. Define a long-term technical roadmap for the team
    4. Recruit and mentor engineers of various levels of experience into a performant team, build team culture and cohesion, and help team members grow technical capabilities;
    5. Understand and brainstorm product objectives to develop an easy-to-use platform that aligns with customers' needs;
    6. Collaborate closely with trust and safety specialists, experts and machine learning engineers;
    7. Work with Trust and Safety teams to protect TikTok globally.

    Qualifications

    What you should have:

    • At least Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience);
    • At least 7 years of relevant experience, familiar with C++/Go/Java program development (at least one), striving for high-quality code and focusing on the technical quality of the code.
    • Highly proficient in designing data structures, building algorithms, and at least one programming language: Java, Python, C++ Go, PHP, pursue high-quality code and focused on code engineering quality
    • At least 1 year of experience in Technical Lead Management or People Management
    • Good communication skills, able to lead and drive projects effectively.
    • Familiar with team and project management methodologies and approaches.

    Preference will be given to those who have one of the following:
