Responsibilities
- Analyze official account performance through both quantitative metrics (views, engagement rate, shares) and qualitative instinct - then translate findings into concrete content recommendations.
- Study user-generated content (UGC) trends to surface actionable insights that can deepen community engagement.
- Identify patterns and triggers behind viral content using a dual-axis approach: AI-assisted data analysis combined with your own platform intuition.
- Develop reproducible frameworks for viral content strategy that the team can apply across partner accounts.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports that distill your analysis into clear, decision-ready insights for the broader team.
- Participate actively in team discussions as a full contributor - not a sideline observer.
- Top-performing interns during the internship will be considered for full-time return offers, subject to business needs and performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification(s):
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above, Fluent Japanese speaker and available for a full-time internship of at least 3 months.
- Heavy daily TikTok user - you use and post on TikTok regularly, with an intuitive feel for what's trending and why.
- Ability to break down viral content into its component elements (hooks, audio, emotional triggers, community context) and articulate clearly what made it work.
- Can translate content observations into specific, actionable proposals for official accounts or brand partners.
- Strong basic logical thinking - able to structure a hypothesis, support it with evidence, and communicate it persuasively.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and dashboards at a basic level (advanced analytics not required; training will be provided).
- Genuine interest in entertainment content - anime, manga, movies, and dramas are a meaningful part of how you engage with culture.
Preferred Qualification(s):
- Academic background in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Sociology, or related fields.
- Experience with other social platforms and an ability to draw qualitative comparisons across them.
- Active personal TikTok account with content creation experience - you know what it feels like to post, not just consume.
- Prior internship or work experience in social media marketing, content production, or creator economy.
- Broad entertainment taste beyond anime/manga - including live-action, music, sports, or other formats.
- Basic familiarity with data tools such as Python, SQL, or analytics platforms (a plus, not a requirement).
