    Responsibilities:

    • Use data analysis, interviews, and research to deeply understand our RD and Corporate teams. Proactively identify talent trends, risks, and opportunities, presenting clear, data-backed recommendations to leadership.
    • Design, build, and automate critical people analytics dashboards and reports. Your work will be the single source of truth for key metrics like headcount, hiring, attrition, and diversity & inclusion.
    • Build strong partnerships with HR Business Partners, department leaders, and other stakeholders. You'll translate their complex business questions into analytical projects and deliver insights that drive meaningful action.
    • Dive deep into ByteDance's HR systems to understand the root data logic. You'll help establish and refine our people analytics frameworks, ensuring our methods are robust, scalable, and cutting-edge.
    • Juggle multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced, global matrix organization, consistently delivering high-quality work against tight deadlines.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, HR Management, or a related discipline.
    • Experience in people analytics, business intelligence, or a data-focused consulting role.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and a passion for working with data.
    • High proficiency in spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and manipulation.
    • Experience building dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or advanced Excel functions.
    • A proven ability to be a "data storyteller," communicating complex findings clearly to non-technical audiences.

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $79800 - $174400 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

    Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
