    Position summary

    • Draft risk assessments, legal analyses and other deliverables independently; support development of long-term copyright compliance strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on AI governance and compliance projects from a copyright perspective; lead and drive relevant cross-functional and cross-regional projects.
    • Identify, develop, and upgrade measures and tools to mitigate AI-related copyright risks; establish and refine workflows and SOPs to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
    • Provide copyright legal reviews and other legal support independently for various internal products/projects, with emphasis on AI-related products and features; provide business-focused, solution-oriented legal advice and guidance.
    • Organize and deliver copyright training, awareness campaigns, and knowledge-sharing sessions; promote copyright awareness among internal and external stakeholders.
    • Support other copyright-related legal matters and practices as needed.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Degree in law and minimum of 5 years of experience as a copyright lawyer in the US, UK, or EU jurisdictions
    • Experience at a top law firm or in-house legal team within relevant industries
    • Familiarity with copyright law trends and regulatory developments, especially AI-related copyright issues
    • Strong project management and interpersonal skills, with experience in collaborating with different stakeholders
    • Ability to develop and execute project plans and tasks, stay organized, and deliver quality work deliverables on time
    • Strong critical-thinking skills; able to identify risks in a forward-looking manner and propose practical solutions
    • Comfortable with change, able to manage multi-threaded tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment; self-motivated

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in handling AI-related copyright issues
    • Experience in dispute resolution

    Job Information

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $213000 - $376200 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

    Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
